Meet Gryla, the Icelandic Yule witch.

I'm some Icelandic folklore, Gryla is a monstrous ogress who kidnaps and devours misbehaving children, especially around Christmas. She is the mother of the 13 mischievous Yule Lads and her legend serves as a cautionary tale to enforce good behavior. Grýla lives in the mountains and is said to hunt children, putting them in a sack to boil in a large cauldron.

And in others, she is a gift giver to well behaved children.

She is a one of a kind, hand sculpted creation. Sculpted from multiple types of polymer clay. She is hand painted with acrylic paints and sealed. She is attached to her hand painted wood base. She has hand applied mohair for her hair. An attached string from her bag in one hand and an icicle cane in the other.

Her eyes, mouth, fingernails and her icicle cane are finished with resin. And the piece as a whole is finished with glitter. Her base features snow medium.

She measures about 8.5 inches tall.

She comes signed by me.

Due to the handmade nature no returns/ exchanges.
